We found a hidden gem today! Misty Ridge Orchard in Depere, WI.
So H and I headed into town super early Sunday AM to run some errands. Costco, Menards and pick up a bagel was the plan. Last week we ended up at Polly’s Pumpkin Patch in Chilton, WI on our way to dinner, and had the BEST apple cider donuts I’ve ever had.
Just follow the signs out of Green Bay and you can’t miss it!
On our way home from Menards we saw a sign for apple cider donuts. I went straight to head home and thought, “No Amy it’s Sunday and your going to go on instinct and have some fun!” So I turned around and we followed the signs down Hwy E towards Freedom. Little did we know we were going to find a small little slice of heaven.
You have all been to those huge orchards, loads of people, and long lines right? Well this little gem was out of the way and the cutest place I’ve been in years.
Sunflowers, a corn maze and the friendliest farm animals!
They have it all at Misty Ridge Orchard. A place to walk through the orchard, sunflowers, a corn maze, donuts, gear, caramel apples, apple cider slushies, a place to play basketball, swings, animals…….the list is endless. It wasn’t packed and everyone there was little families and the nicest people ever.

We picked up donuts, fresh cheese curds and took a walk. I had to say hi to the animals. OMG where they cute. The donkey even made his little noises for us as we approached and one of the guys working feed him an apple. I love animals so much and they literally made my day.

Little spots like this, hidden off the beaten path, are what make Wisconsin for me. Family owned businesses doing what they love, helping the community, and making a go of it. Go support Misty Ridge Orchard this fall!
They started the orchard in 2012 and mainly did wholesale to the local stores. In the past 4 years they have expanded to do all of the above. It’s worth the drive if you live a ways, and a MUST DO if you live close.
The Billy Goats are worth the drive alone!
