Are you ready for spring? Here’s my top 10 things to help get you get there!

I do love the snow guys don’t get me wrong. But by mid February I start to get vitamin D withdrawals like crazy. I know I have told you I’m a Leo. I NEED the sunshine. There is something about getting ready in the morning, pouring a big mug of coffee, taking the roof off the Jeep, and letting your hair dry from the summer breeze when you leave the house. I feel free when it’s warm out. I miss the carefree, relaxed, feeling of summer.

Plan something FUN!

When I get down, or sluggish, or just plain depressed, I typically make a list. Plan something fun, buy a new pair of shoes 👠 , or a summer dress. I have to make a plan to pick myself up. It’s a conscious choice for me. I can’t function in a negative environment. It really brings me down. Lately I feel like I’ve been surrounded with negative. Every time I turn, someone is sick, lost, not showing for work, the list is endless.

BRING ON SPRING!!

So bring on spring 2022. The warm grass beneath your feet. Pulling out the hammock. Planting flowers. Getting out the deck furniture. Your first bonfie 🔥 with a big comfy sweatshirt! I am longing for summer 🌞 …………

Amy’s Top 10 ways to bring spring 2022 FASTER!

  1. Plan a trip. Your summer vacation! Pick your spot! We booked our favorite lake for this coming summer and it can’t come soon enough! Having my morning ☕️ coffee on the lake is a treasure I look forward to all year long.
  2. Now plan a small weekend in March or April. Something closer. Even a night out. Maybe it’s a special dinner for Valentines Day. Anything to put a FUN thing on the calendar!
  3. Buy a new colored sweater! Something BRIGHT! Even if you have to wear it at home, PUT ON SOME COLOR! I live in black, navy and grey all day long, day in, and day out…….it’s depressing! The brighter the better!
  4. Clean something out, organize it, label it. PURGE! That always feels good……and then you have room for that new sweater!
  5. Plan your garden! Force some bulbs. Flowers 💐 make life better. Even if you just pick up some $6 🌷 tulips at the grocery, anything helps!
  6. Have a party. Start a bonfire 🔥 in the snow, make hotdogs, have hot chocolate, and/or hot toddies. The winter ❄️ is beautiful. Lets face it faux fur is fabulous!
  7. Paint a room, change the decor in the kitchen, add a new rug, get a new clock ⏰ , new bedding, something cozy and warm! Change something and make a room new again.
  8. Send a thank you, write a letter, read a book 📚 or two, or play a board game. Start your 2022 journal.
  9. LASTLY, sleep! Get some rest. Sometimes the greatest gift I can give myself is a good long nap. It always seems like such a waste of time……..but man could I use one!!

YOU are in charge of your happiness!

The only person who is going to fill your cup is YOU! YOU are 💯 in charge of your life. Don’t let other’s bring you down. Use these top 10 ways to get to springtime. If you need to make a change do it! Don’t wait!

If you don’t take time to plan your fun it won’t happen! Get lots of rest, drink lots of water, eat well, get your blood pumping and I promise spring is coming! 45 days goes quick. If you don’t stop and look around you will miss the ride!
