What’s YOUR favorite spot in Wisconsin?

Pretty much speechless! At 2:00pm the sun starts it’s decent and lights the forest with all her glory. Life doesn’t get much better than that! Even in 5 degree’s and not feeling my fingers I couldn’t get back in the Jeep. I stood here for what felt like hours watching her fall!

Do you have a favorite spot?

The sun makes everything happy even the tree’s while they sleep!

Everyone has one. A favorite spot. A place they go to or run to when they want to cheer up, get out, look forward not back. A place that brings happiness and contentment. Somewhere that is a bit of a drive but closer to home so you can visit more than not. We have a few but there is one in particular we run to quite often.

What a view!

Your favorite spot has to be reachable right?

….and the lake is incredible even frozen solid! I still wanted to jump in….well on second thought I think I’ll wait til spring!

Your favorite spot kinda has to be within an hours drive or it’s too far. It has to be somewhere you can go all year. I also feel like there has to be a spot to eat or just relax after you go. Somewhere you can hike, walk around, chill out and just be. Our spot of course is in the forest. It is a little over an hour and we go almost every weekend in the summer.

The drive in is always glorious no matter the season!

I work every weekend but only one Sunday a month typically. So Sunday mornings are very ritual here for us. We are up and packing up the Jeep by 8:00am for sure. We have the routine down pretty good. Cooler, bottled water, drinks, sandwiches, cheese and crackers, chairs, floatie…………sometimes stuff for the fire depends on how long we can stay. We load up, stop for gas and a coffee and we are off…………..I miss those days.

The snow is so cold that each step crunched like ice! I find tracks so incredibly captivating……what just happened seconds ago leaves a mark for someone else to find. The world is ever changing!

So this weekend I said, lets go even though it’s less than 10 degree’s. We can still enjoy the drive, spend some time hiking around and stop for something to eat. We haven’t been to our favorite spot since we got our Christmas tree. November seems like eon’s ago.

Why is it that time goes so fast? When you want it to tick and tock away it typically doesn’t. But when you look back it seems like to race like a rabbit. How is it late January already? And why is it not April? LOL!

What is summer like in your favorite spot?

It’s the best! I love it so much I dream about it. Sunday afternoon’s on the water are the best there is. Spending time in the sunshine feels like gold. I am a leo sign which I’m sure I’ve told you guys but man do I love the sunshine. It changes my entire mood, my day, my outlook everything. I react so strongly to her! The sun. I guess I call her her my sun goddess. She is my everything winter, spring, summer and fall!

When the sunshines 🌞 on my favorite spot life is good!

It’s almost like winter came so fast that some of fall’s leaves didn’t get a chance to fall. They make the view that much warmer!

It doesn’t matter the season, life is good! You can fill your glass full, overflow it, leave it empty and complain or fill it to the brim. Mine is to the brim! I feel complete after yesterday. Being outside was incredible. Fresh air makes me feel complete.

We had a little off road incident and still had 🤩 fun!

We even had a little accident and it was still awesome. Well not an accident an incident. We wondered off the main road to find a camp spot that is super secluded. The road we took was the snowmobile trail. All was fine until I tried to back up and turn around and ended up in 4′ of snow. I kinda panicked a little and spun the tires to ice. Basically rescued by a group of snowmobilers and saved thank God, as an overnight in less than 10 degree’s would have been an adventure I would have lived to blog about. Well, lets be honest I would have probably lived but not well enough to continue typing as normal. Pretty sure in that cold I would have lost some digits. It will make for a good story and I have yet to get my Jeep stuck in winter so……….we did it!

Take a drive to your favorite spot!

Enjoy the season. Each trip to your favorite spot will leave you with priceless memories and a renewed sense of self! Fill your cup…………cause if YOU don’t, no one else will!

~Take care, stay warm and be happy. Life is short, do it now ~Amy

(…oh and yes, it’s a secret where our favorite spot is. If you read the blog you can probably figure it out. You have to find your favorite spot on your own. Somewhere you relate too, somewhere close to home, no more than an hour. A place you can run to. Now go find it. And if you have one……….GO!)
