My favorite part of summer is all of the wildflowers. They are like little pieces of art dancing in the wind. What I love the most is that only some of us really stop to appreciate them, it feels sometimes like a magical secret. I can’t begin to tell you how a long drive on a deserted backroad at any time of the day raises my spirits……
Wildflowers relieve stress!
Enjoying wildflowers takes my stress away, and helps me remember that we were not put on this earth solely to work and pay bills. We were put here to help maintain balance with the earth and do whatever we can to feed her soul and give back to nature. Mother earth is a glorious wonder that we all need to pay more attention to, and help out as much as we can.

Make a Difference in Wisconsin
For 60 years, people like you have helped The Nature Conservancy protect more than 236,300 acres of Wisconsin’s quiet lakes, Northwoods forests, winding rivers and sun-kissed prairies. We’re building on that legacy and bringing people together to help solve today’s biggest conservation challenges from climate change and habitat loss to protecting clean water. Together we’re stronger!
Wildflowers everywhere!
This summer the country is just booming with flowers. I can’t remember a summer season this full of wildflowers. They are HUGE and diverse and full of color. Even with our lack of rain, they are out in full force and they are GORGEOUS!
Every color in the rainbow!
If you haven’t take the time to slow down and enjoy the fields and ditches just lined with every color in the rainbow , you need to slow down a little and look closer……..
You are surrounded by the most beautiful flowers. And the bee’s are happy as clams. Whatever you do, don’t cut them down…….. We need every one to flourish and give their glorious pollen to all the other happy plants. That way we get to enjoy them again next season.
ENJOY! I can’t seem to stop taking their pictures. I just want to dance about while classical music plays in my head and eventually take flight and swoop down over them and smell all their glory.
Happy summer season Wisconsin! Don’t take your landscape for granted. We are very lucky indeed! As you can see above it’s always the most incredible right before it rains…..
